9 o'clock in the morning and it felt like sunset was imminent- the light and the temperature suggested it.
Snow had closed a lane of the M8 and it was coming our way...
but after a short foray up to the road bridge we turned our backs to the wind and cruised down past Inchcolm. On the VHF there was lifeboat traffic for a rescue off Inchkeith.
Ashore, I was nearly home before my hands thawed out.
