It's a long drive to the Clyde from my house, and a long paddle to Ailsa Craig to follow. It was a bit disappointing, therefore, not to be able to get my boat lifted up the rocks to escape a rising tide. I had about 2 minutes ashore for a quick exploration of some of the strangely colourful navigational relics.
I'm still feeling a bit on the sore side.
