Sunny St Andrews

There have been few fine weekends this year, but this one has been wonderful. Inspired by Gordon Brown's new DVD, several us spent Saturday afternoon doing some rescue practice at the East Sands in St Andrews. Several of us have minor parts in the DVD, mostly showing how to do things wrongly.

The intention was some rough water rescues, but there was barely a breath of wind. There was, however, some completely unforecast but delightful surf. We even had an audience of folk sunning themselves on the pier.
As the afternoon wore on, we decided to take the plunge.

As one of the party has a big assessment coming up we got him to do the hard work, towing us back....
